safe as safe can be

LOCATION
★ ★
an easy bus ride to one of beléms greatest attractions, ver-o-peso. a huge market on the amazon that sells the freshest of the fresh. however, the city itself isn't too goregous. sooooo hot.

STAFF
★ ★ ★ ★
helpful but not everybody who works there is english speaking. could be problematic.

FUN
there are some near by clubs. but the city is so damn hot, i never wanted to go to one and melt.

CLEANLINESS
★ ★
clean for the most part. ants are a problem in the kitchen though.

KITCHEN
★ ★
workable

VALUE FOR MONEY
its a good hostel but i dont recommend going to belém. its so hot. if you do go to belém, a heavenly island called Ilha de Algodoal is only 4 hours away.

the bathrooms are a little dirty. the rooms are somewhat crammed too.

KITCHEN

VISTA SERENA, manuel antonio, costa rica

nights stayed : 9
starting at $10 a night

CHARACTER

fantastic. after one of the best sunsets in the world, great music starts playing. all you need to do is sit around for a few minutes, and i garentee you'll have friends.

SECURITY
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
i definitely left all of my stuff out, never had to lock it and nothing was stollen. however,by the time i left i was short of 3 pairs of underwear though. haha. no idea where those got off to. also, walking around on the streets or going to the beach at night is A-OK

LOCATION
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
about a 5 minute walk from a grocery store and a few cheap restaurants and the bus stop that takes you to one of the best beaches in the world. it's placed on a cliff overlooking jungle and the pacific ocean. from the vista serena balcony, you can see one of the best sunsets in the world.

STAFF
★ ★ ★ ★
great staff. they help you whenever you need it and theyre very very friendly. at times, theyre a little slow but theyre still awesome.

FUN
★ ★ ★
my idea of fun is partying. its not too much of a party hostel, more of a chill out and drink hostel. for the 9 days that i was there, i only went to 1 party. a little disappointing.

CLEANLINESS
★ ★
pretty dirty. after waking up after my first night there, my entire left leg was polk dot because there were bugs in my bed! after, i moved to the upper dorm and everything was better

KITCHEN
★ ★
horrible knives. some of the burners on the stove dont work. there are fridge theives.

VALUE FOR MONEY
definitely worth visiting. i'd recommend it to anyone going to manuel antonio.
